Literature

“they're currently unsigned, which is wierd...that was a delightful track, that” (The Martian Women) Phill Jupitus, 6 Music

"This album deserves to be nothing short of a cult classic" - Drowned in Sound

The songs are a deft combination of idiosyncratic lyrics, a delightfully skewed melodic sense and endlessly inventive arrangements and the best of them are nothing short of stunning.
The rollicking dissection of nightlife that is ‘The God of Bars', ‘On My Mountain's' two minutes of thrashing effervescence and, best of all, ‘The Martian Women' manages to pack in a Mariachi trumpet and a huge thumping metal chorus into its snaking slippery contours.
Everything here is invested with an infectious playfulness and lightness of touch without being in any way lightweight. If it's utterly distinctive and individual song writing you want, look no further than Tigerbomb.
Sandman magazine, Feb 2007

...skilful mix of Belle and Sebastian sweetness, sultry latin trumpet and angular guitar, splicing one sound with another where you'd least expect it. Again, ‘The God of Bars' works, building emotively into its heartfelt chorus between expeditions into an impressive range of sounds and moods. Other highlights are ‘On My Mountain', opening with Pixies menacing bass before lightening up with giddy sixties singing and hand claps, and final track, ‘Paint Pretty Paula', in parts echoing The Beatles without being overly derivative and again, keeping the mood and tempo changing brilliantly to end the record on a well cultivated climax - Kirsty Dunsmore, High Voltage

It's a great CD…it's a real grower…it just gets bigger and better and more mental, I love it! - More Raw, BBC Radio York

“Frothy and clever, the band skilfully integrate touches of cello, trumpet and accordian into their dazzling pop kaleidoscope…. brilliantly pieced together, the band's ethos seems to belong to the days of Love's Forever Changes and The Beach Boys' Smile”
Graham Chalmers, Harrogate Advertiser
